Research Topic

I am stuck in the middle about which topic to chose for my research paper. I am interested in both: illegal immigrant labor and family issues. Which I guess can intertwine.

The topic of illegal immigrant labor is very controversial. There is always something on the news, in the newspaper, & on the web about illegal immigrants working in the U.S. It's an important issue for U.S. to look into but mostly important to the border states. Getting the facts about why illegal immigrant labor both affects America and Mexico, may subside some of the concerning yet fearful questions that Americans have. It is an issue for everyone who is a citizen to take notice of because it's happening everyday. The family issues is controversial as well. Illegals who have children in the U.S., makes their children citizens. Would they deport an infant because their parent's aren't citizens? Would they allow immigrants to stay? Questions of " Is this fair/unfair" comes to many people as they hear this issue more frequently.

Hey Jasmine,

You're topic is good, but I had a hard time finding the main topic of interest. Are you going to write about children of illegal immigrants and if it's fair or unfair they have to go or stay? I think this is a very interesting topic. Also I liked how you mentioned everyone who is a citizen should care about the issue, but you can add a little more specific examples of who could be against it, or for it. Well that's pretty much it.
